Why I am Running for Norris School District Trustee, Area 5
We must give our children a future-ready education—one that builds intellectual rigor, academic excellence, character, and a strong moral foundation.
The students in our classrooms today will become the leaders of our communities, our state, and our nation tomorrow. We therefore have a profound responsibility to prepare them not merely to succeed, but to think critically, lead courageously, act with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to society.
That means equipping every student with the knowledge, discipline, skills, and confidence to navigate an increasingly complex world—while grounding their education in the enduring Biblical values of truth, responsibility, faith, service, and human dignity.
Our children are our future. We must give them an education worthy of that future—and the character to lead it well.
The Future We Must Build
Schools must do more than prepare students to pass tests. They must prepare young people to think, communicate, solve problems, manage their finances, use technology wisely, and compete in a demanding world. That is the education our children deserve—and the future we must build.
My priorities are clear:
Strengthen School–Family Communication and Trust through transparency, accountability, and meaningful parental engagement.
Build Greater Academic Excellence through a rigorous classical education grounded in reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, civics, the great ideas that have shaped Western civilization, and the development of strong character.
Build Financial Literacy so students understand money, saving, investing, credit, debt, and personal responsibility.
Advance STEM and Technology Education to prepare students through science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computer science for careers that will shape America’s future to lead in the fields of medicine, technology, economics, and national security.
